Biosensors- Types and Applications

Biosensor is an analytical device containing an immobilized biological material, which can specifically interact with the analyte to produce a signal that can be measured.The biological material can enzyme, antibody, hormone, etc.



A biosensor has 2 components:

1. Biological Component: Enzyme, Hormone, Antibody, etc.
2. Physical Component: Transducer, Amplifier
